Product Description For the past forty years Beer and Johnston have been the uncontested leaders in the teaching of undergraduate engineering mechanics. Over the years their textbooks have introduced significant theoretical and pedagogical innovations in statics, dynamics, and mechanics of materials education. At the same time, their careful presentation of content, unmatched levels of accuracy, and attention to detail have made their texts the standard for excellence. The new Seventh Edition of Vector Mechanics for Engineers: Statics and Dynamics continues this tradition. The seventh edition is complemented by a media and supplement package that is targeted to address core course needs for both the student and the instructor.

A good textbook October 4, 2008 It is a book that I was required to buy for class but never the less it gives detailed solutions to practice problems and is a well rounded edition.
Really Good! Slow Pace September 30, 2008 This book has helped me understand the mechanics in physics. It has a slow pace, which helps you understand each subject thoroughly. For example, in my physics book, we cover momentum in like 10 pages, but in this book, momentum is covered in like 50 pages. There are many problems within each section to help you understand the subject and they also give example problems to help you solve these problems.
Statics/Dynamics Book September 28, 2008 It's a school book, what else is there to say. I had to get it.
I paid good money for this? September 16, 2008 I have seen better information in a high school algebra text book. One of the problems in chapter 2 tells you to go to chapter 4 for a formula. After a few choice words and a search of chapter 4 the formula doesn't show up. I ended up finding help on Google. There were several questions that could have used an explanation with out needing to read the next section first.
If you can, get the questions you need from a fellow student and use Google to find the information you need to solve them.
