Product Description
The primary goal of GO! Series: Microsoft Access 2007 Brief,1/e is to teach Microsoft Access 2007 quickly and easily, with an approach that is based on clearly-defined projects. A key feature of the book is the use of Microsoft procedural syntax: steps begin with where the action is to take place, followed by the action itself. This book contains a CD-ROM that provides users with the skills to solve business problems using the computer as a tool. The Brief edition covers the following topics: getting started with Access databases and tables; forms, filters, and reports; sorts and queries. An efficient and handy guide for anyone interested in a project-based introduction to Microsoft Access 2007.

Big, dull, and thorough..serves it's purpose November 20, 2008 Got this book recently for my Access online class. This is part of the Go! Comprehensive series which has editions covering other Microsoft Office softwares such as Word and Excel 2007.
Just like the Word and Excel editions, the Access version is a big and bulky book that does a thorough job of going over every minute detail of Access 2007.
There are 12 chapters each divided into sub-sections where you need to finish various tedious projects. These projects are very detailed and will definately get you acclimated to the many features of Access 2007.
The book is pricey and the binding, like all the other editions, is too loose for its size.
The book comes with a CD that contains data files to complete the projects.
