Circuit Designer's Companion 2nd Edition August 30, 2010 Roger L. (Phoenix, AZ USA) This is a great reference. Almost all of the circuit design gotcha's, brief explanations of the theories involved and proper design techniques to help reduce or avoid their negative effects are in this easy to read short book. Did I mention that it is well indexed? It is.
excellent review March 26, 2010 yfei 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's a fast shipping with very good condition, just like the seller mentioned before purchasing. No trouble, no worry. It's convenient.
Excellent Book - Tons of practical knowledge July 10, 2009 David Ginskey (Wichita, KS USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I'm an electrical engineer with many years of experience in design, but not as much experience in actual manufacturing and component sourcing. I bought this book, hoping to learn a few things that would help me design better products with reduced costs and improved quality. From the many good reviews, I hoped it would be good. In reality, it's fantastic. This is absolutely the BEST book on electronics I've ever read, in terms of practical, real-world considerations for components, PCB's, manufacturability, reliability and cost.
When I'm reading it, I feel like I'm sitting down with a senior engineer who's spent years doing it the hard way, seen it all, tried it all, fixed it all. And now, I'm so lucky to as to be able to sit down and soak in those years of effort, knowledge and experience in one convenient book.
Some of the topics are covered in part in other books, like the The Art of Electronics (also good), but this book does it better, is more up-to-date, includes more detail, is right to the point, and tells you all the critical details no one else will.
I'd highly recommend this book to any electrical engineer, in or out of school, who's ready to tackle a real-world product design.
Very Good Book for the designer July 7, 2009 Donal Mccarthy (FL, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Really good content,. You will not be disappointed. Im an RF design engineer who needs to work with lots of digital interface control circuitry. Its not an analog book that will give you ccts for designing, but rather give you great insights into things like grounding, board layout etc. These are not tricks but experience gather from years of real world design. get it to complement an analog design book.
Very useful February 5, 2009 Fuga Federico (Verona, Italy) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Surely a good companion on electronic design. Keep it in drawer of your desk: sooner or later, you'll need it.
