Great review book for vet techs October 22, 2008 Mosby's Comprehensive Review for Veterinary Technicians This book offers a comprehensive review of information that will appear on the national and state licensing exam. It also includes a sample test with answers.
Good Summaries July 8, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book has really concise summaries of a lot of the information that could be covered in the VTNE. I did find however, that it may not include some information in some sections and a large portion of information on others. I guess it depends on the curriculum at the school you attend. Overall though it is pretty comprehensive and definitely helps for a quick read and refresher even when you need it in clinic.
Not so great June 22, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I enjoy the layout of the book and was pleased to see that they covered nearly all of the subjects in the veterinary techonology field. However, I agree with the other review about the 2008 edition of the book. There were many incorrect answers to the review questions at the ends of the chapters and in the final quiz. Also, I just took the VTNE, and I primarily used this book for studying, and I don't feel like it helped me much at all (not even sure I passed!).
Incorrect answers in answer key June 20, 2008 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
While the information in the chapters of this book is very good, the answer keys for the quizzes at the end of each chapter and the comprehensive test have many incorrect answers. I have the 2008 edition and I think the publisher did not update the answer key. I am very disappointed with this because the sample questions are one of the main reasons why I purchased the book. It makes learning the material confusing if the answers given for the questions contradict what is written in the text.
Vet. Tech review January 18, 2008 Briefly reviews different topics. Has 6-15 questions at each end of chapter review. Good for light review material to brush up on topics and see if you need to go back and do more hard core review from your old school books.
