Product Description Chemistry: The Central Science is the most trusted book on the market--its scientific accuracy, clarity, innovative pedagogy, functional problem-solving and visuals set this book apart. Brown, LeMay, and Bursten teach students the concepts and skills they need without overcomplicating the subject. A comprehensive media package that works in tandem with the text helps students practice and learn while providing instructors the tools they need to succeed.

chemistry central science September 24, 2008 Exactly the book needed and much less costly. It arrived in a timely fashion.
incomplete? September 12, 2008 "...A comprehensive media package that works in tandem with the text helps students practice and learn while providing instructors the tools they need to succeed..."
I bought this for my daughter at college, got the isbn# from the book at school. Book arrived without the "comprehensive media package" which I assume is a disc for accessing the web. Does this come with disc or not? The book may be great, but is amazon selling the complete package?
9th Edition was great, so I am sure 11th is as well August 24, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RZEZ8WGDI9XBD One will have to do a lot of reading but the book does a good job explaining concepts. The CD that comes with the book (7th ed) is awesome for testing your knowledge. If I may suggest something that has helped my studies greatly, a little book called Don't Like to Read, Then Don't, Listen!: How to Turn Any Type of Text Into Audio Files That Can Be Read to You!. I know that many students out there are like me and would rather listen to material than have to read it themselves. I use programs like the one that is reading this review to have my texts read to me. This is a god send for me. One can get this title on amazon.
