I was so excited to dive into this book, just to find numerous typos, and cd's that don't corroborate with the lessons in the book. The pace is very fast for a beginner, however, I will continue with it since I am essentially 'stuck' with it now. When I am finished I will definitely do extensive research, and hopefully choose something more organized next time. I am super disappointed with this book!

I bought this book for a Spanish class. The class has finished, but I like the book enough to continue thru the book, on my own. I would recommend this book.
Every chapter has a list of around 30 new words to learn, a paragraph written in Spanish using the new words (along with CDs that say the paragraph verbally), then about 6 more pages of questions/hints/tips.

I bought this as a class book for a Beginning Spanish adult ed class. Chapters are interesting (but some material is geared for High School kids not adults).
Beware that the CDs don't match the later chapters of the book. This is not explained anywhere in the book or CD.

"Spanish Now" is a wonderful resource for those who want to finally get serious about learning Spanish. The book could devote more time to the various verb conjugations and tenses, but for the beginner it's more than adequate. The four audio discs do not necessarily correlate with the written page, and sometime it's difficult to figure out what they're asking you to do. All in all, a pretty good guide for the self-learner.

The book is great! My teacher uses the book and she wanted us to use it too!! Its great grammar and the learn technic is great!
